Bill Schantz’ initial entrepreneurial effort, Senior Settlements LLC, was established three decades ago as a result of its $150 million dollar transaction with former Investment Banking powerhouse  Bear Stearns.  Not only did the deal put his new company on the map, but it also made him the man who single-handedly introduced the capital markets to  life settlements.

Bill has worked with top tier firms in investment banking, accounting and big law through the years.  A partial list of his clientele include Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank, Deloitte, Locke Lord and Clifford Chance.  

Today, Bill and his team at Mid Atlantic expertly manage product development, restructuring, and growth. In addition, they also structure and manage life settlement investment funds, creating investment vehicles that are available to investors outside of Wall Street. 

Bill Schantz’s holding company, Mid Atlantic Financial, LLC of Maple Shade, New Jersey. acts as an umbrella for five other financial entities.  They include Senior Settlements, Harper Financial, Select Policy Group, Roth Right, and Bedrock Capital Group. 

Prior to beginning his financial services career, Bill earned a degree in political science from Villanova University.  In addition, he served 18 years as district manager for the Independent Order of Foresters.  Here, he supervised a team of 60 sales reps,all while consistently ranking as one of the top 10 salespeople at the company.

Mr. Schantz is an active member of the Life Insurance Settlement Association, and regularly attends professional events related to structured finance. He is a big believer in giving back, and he and his wife are involved with many charities such as Wills Eye Hospital, Noelle’s light, Ronald McDonald House, Missionaries of the Poor, and the March of Dimes.

Mr. Schantz graduated from Villanova University, has 5 children, 11 grandchildren, and recently celebrated his 40th wedding anniversary.
